New Year, New Goal

I wanted to start a blog ( and really try hard to keep this one) about my journey to become a runner this year! Seeing that  I have my own laptop now- blogging should be easier because  I can do it as I wind down in my room for the night. I hope to post daily about what I did to reach my goal of becoming a runner. My goal is to be ready for the Color Run at the National Harbor hear in Maryland.
I am a complete non-runner. By that I mean I haven't ran since 9th grade and was forced too for grade purposes in gym class. I do have a good record. In Middle school I was the first girl and 7th person total to finish our mile run. Because of that I was picked to run for our track and field team. (Long story short-  I came in last because I never got to practice and nearly passed out because I was exhausted. I was in the lead for the first 2 laps- and you had to do like 5 or something- but brought up the tail end!)
I use to run loads- I played soccer for the community for many year (I was never very good) but sports ended for me in 9th grade. Since then I have done nothing but a walk here, bike ride there. So I am supper un-athletic. So this may be a challenge.
